The Salad Bowl of diversity (6-12) ​

Effective teacher leaders are culturally proficient in understanding and seeking how our students'  core values and truths form a baseline on how to identify and meet the needs of our diverse learners.

Teresa Mountains is a Spanish teacher at Billings Senior High. She is also the Director at Large for the Billings Education Association. She is an alumnist of the NEA Alumni Academy and the Teacher Leadership Institute (TLI).  Teresa is an NBCT candidate. She  grew up culturally diverse & has done work in social justice for her TLI capstone project,.  Attended the NEA Woman & Minority Leadership Training. She has experience writing curriculum and micro-credentials for the NEA  Association, and planned with the NEA social justice department to bring social justice, culturally competent and diversity training to the 2017 MEA- MFT educator conference.
